WANT TO SEE MY NEXT EXHIBITION?
I have been invited by Tarleton University to be part of the anniversary celebration of the Wells Art Center and be part of a three-person exhibition called
"The Land Revealed"  this Spring. The theme of the program is the land of Texas, so if you're a landscape lover, be sure to see this show! I was honored to hear that my work was a catalyst for this exhibition and the theme, and its great timing with the Well's Art Center's Anniversary Celebration! I'm still deciding which pieces to display, and I have some new work that I did as a commission for a patron!

A One-Person Fine Art Photography Exhibition
at the Eisemann Center, Forrest & Virginia Green
Mezzanine- Gallery,
Richardson, TX:

Exhibition Dates: Wednesday,  June 1 - Monday, July 4, 2005
Opening Reception: by invitation only. Media are welcome.
Meet Darlene Large, HOINA's Founder at the Opening Reception: TBD

THE ARTIST:
Paul Chaplo is pleased to announce the premiere exhibition of "A Vision from Above," an elegant collection of large format black and white fine art photographs featuring Chaplo's aerial landscape photographs from his personal flights over Big Bend National Park, TX and the surrounding wilderness. A public opening reception and print signing will be held. Also a gallery talk by the artist/photographer is planned. Send a message to Paul Chaplo.

A BENEFIT FOR HOINA:
100% of the project profits through July 4, 2005 will be donated to HOINA,
a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation in the U.S. since 1972, and a registered trust in India, whose primary work is caring for abandoned, orphaned, abused, and handicapped
children in South India. HOINA is expanding to accept additional children and needs our help. HOINA is currently building a new residence for girls near Chennai, and funds are needed to complete the second story. Also, general operating funds are needed. We will let HOINA decide where to best use the money.

THE EXHIBITION:
The exhibition will provide the first opportunity to view original giclee black and white prints that will be featured in Chaplo's planned book "A Vision from Above." Chaplo, who earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, works in a fusion of traditional and digital techniques with roots in large format landscape photography. The work focuses on the vastness of dramatic remote landscapes as seen from the unique perspective of the aerial camera. "This is an opportunity to see some Texas landscapes that few people since the dawn of man have seen," says Chaplo who photographed some of the most remote wilderness in Texas from the air.

PRINT SALES:
A pre-sale of limited edition prints is offered to help fund the ongoing photography project. Interested collectors may email the photographer via this link: email Paul Chaplo
